Dr. Wayne P. Foster of Toms River and Manasquan, NJ, can assist patients who are unhappy with sagging skin and excess fat around the face and neck area with a revolutionary treatment known as Necktite®.
What is the Necktite® treatment?
Necktite® is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that can help improve the appearance of your neck and jawline. It can also help to improve the function of your neck muscles, making it a great option for those who desire to improve their overall appearance and health. Necktite® can be performed as an outpatient procedure, meaning you won’t have to stay in the hospital overnight. The procedure itself is relatively quick, taking only about 30 minutes to complete. It combines both traditional liposuction and radiofrequency energy for tightening the skin and removing excess fat during the same procedure, making it highly desirable for patients who are interested in removing submental fullness (also known and referred to as a double chin) and tightening the jawline and jowls.
What can I expect during the Necktite® treatment?
During this procedure, a small incision is made in the skin of your neck. A thin tube, referred to as a cannula, is inserted through the incision. The cannula will be used to heat up the tissue in your neck, which will cause the skin to contract and the local fat cells to break down. The fat cells will then be suctioned out through the cannula. Once the fat cells are removed, the skin will be tightened using radiofrequency energy. The incision will then be closed with stitches or staples.
What are the side effects of Necktite®?
Most patients report minimal, if any, pain and discomfort after the procedure. However, you may experience some temporary bruising, swelling, and numbness in the treated area. These side effects will subside within a few days to weeks. You may also experience some mild discomfort when swallowing for the first few days after the procedure.
Necktite® is considered a safe and effective treatment for improving the appearance of your neck and jawline. However, as with any medical procedure, there are some potential risks involved. These risks include infection, bleeding, and scarring. During your consultation visit, you can talk with your doctor about these risks to determine if this treatment is right for you.
