Pro-Fractional Laser: What is it and What is it Good For?
- Posted on: Sep 15 2018
Summer is winding down and, honestly, we couldn’t be more happy about it. We’re ready for the cooler weather and a little less time in the sun. While we’re transitioning to fall, sending the kids back to school, and stocking up on cozy sweaters, our skin is also transitioning.
Our skin is given a chance to rest in the winter. It repairs itself and rests after all that time in the sun. But, did you know that now is one of the best times to invest in your skin? Because of all the time we spend in the sun, summer is not a great time for treatments like chemical peels or laser treatments. But, with less sun and more time indoors comes a great opportunity to correct those problematic areas with Pro-Fractional laser treatments.
What Is the Pro-Fractional Laser?
The Pro-Fractional laser isn’t like other lasers. It is designed to target your problem areas instead of ablating away all skin (healthy or unhealthy) with abandon. Though we don’t mind an all-over laser treatment, we do love that the Pro-Fractional laser treatments are tailored to what you are concerned about. If you have scarring from acne, stretch marks, wrinkles, or thinning, crepey skin, the Pro-Fractional laser might be a good fit for you.
This laser treatment is designed to target the areas of your skin that need a little help. The targeted areas are ablated away, leaving the healthy skin nearby intact. This healthy skin is able to help repair and support the new skin, giving you great results even quicker.
How Many Laser Treatments Will I Need?
It depends on your skin and what your concerns are, but ultimately we recommend having a few treatments. You will start to notice results after your first appointment, but the best results come after a few treatments done on a regular basis. Usually, you can come in after four weeks for your next treatment.
How Much Does Pro-Fractional Laser Treatment Cost?
Pro-Fractional laser treatments can vary in cost, because there are so many different areas patients have treated. Getting in touch with us for a consultation will help us determine a plan and what the cost will be.
