What is the FaceTite procedure?

Studio shot of a beautiful young woman posing against a gray backgroundAs we age, our skin naturally starts to lose its stores of collagen and elastin. This means that the skin becomes looser. When skin laxity occurs, it results in the formation of fine lines and wrinkles on the face—and begin to cause the unwanted signs of aging. While a surgical facelift is an effective way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds caused by skin laxity, it is not always necessary for patients who have mild to moderate skin laxity of the face. Instead, the team at Foster MD may recommend an alternative, nonsurgical treatment known as FaceTite.

What is FaceTite and how does it work?

The FaceTite treatment uses radiofrequency energy administered from a safe, FDA-cleared device. The RF energy penetrates deep into the skin and helps tighten and tone the area being treated. When used on the face for those with mild to moderate skin laxity, it contracts the tissues and skin for a tighter appearance while reducing and even eliminating some fine lines and wrinkles. This is a wonderful procedure for a patient who wants a noninvasive treatment for sagging skin and wants to avoid the costs and risks of traditional plastic surgery. Dr. Wayne P. Foster will evaluate a patient during an initial consultation appointment to determine if they could benefit from FaceTite treatments over a traditional surgical facelift.

Who is a good candidate for the FaceTite treatment?

The best candidates are those with mild to moderate skin laxity who want to avoid surgical interventions to address sagging skin. The treatment requires no downtime or recovery, making it a great alternative for patients who have busy, active lifestyles and are unable to take time off of work or other activities to heal from plastic surgery procedures.
